PROYDE offers its social bases and society in general, the possibility of integrating into its Volunteer programs in its social headquarters (Local Volunteer) and in its Development Programs or Projects in countries of the South (International Volunteering).
The importance and impact of volunteering in our society is reflected in the work and, above all, in the commitment of Volunteers and Volunteers in the structures of PROYDE at all levels.
PROYDE promotes and integrates Volunteering from its own Mission, Vision and Values whose ultimate goal is to make possible a coherent and committed vital approach where the group, community component is fundamental.
The structures of reception, accompaniment, training and evaluation of PROYDE Volunteering are the itinerary of animation of a Volunteer in search of alternatives in favor of the impoverished peoples of the Third World.
PROYDE has a Department of Volunteering defined in its regulations and expressed in its organizational chart.
In each Social Headquarters of PROYDE there is a Volunteer Responsible. The Local Managers coordinate with the Autonomous and / or Territorial, especially in regard to International Volunteering.
The reception structure in each one of the Delegations is formed, at least, by the Volunteer Responsible, although a team in charge of welcoming the new Volunteers will be preferred.
The Volunteer Responsible will receive and study the requests for participation in any of the PROYDE Volunteer Programs, will meet with the applicant and will determine if he meets the required profile for the Volunteering that he demands.
The Volunteer Responsible, will meet with the candidate / a Volunteer. In the reception interview (whatever the requested program), you will listen to your concerns and proposals and inform you of PROYDE, especially of the Mission, Vision and Values of the Organization, as well as the ongoing activities in the Delegation and other possible to undertake with the support of Volunteers.
When it comes to joining the Local Volunteer, if the profile established for the different Volunteer Programs is met (see the corresponding sections), it will define with the / the Volunteer the work to be carried out, its activities and specific attributions, the schedules of presence in the head office, etc. He will also present the rest of the volunteers, especially from the Area in which he will be integrated.
The Volunteer Responsible of each Delegation, once a new Local Volunteer has been admitted, will be responsible for completing the "Volunteer File" and for signing the document: "Incorporation Agreement". These documents will be sent, in the shortest possible time, to the General Secretariat of PROYDE for registration and to include the Volunteer in the Mandatory Volunteer Insurance.
When it comes to International Volunteering, once the application for participation has been studied, the candidate will be made the necessary observations regarding whether or not it complies with the profile established by PROYDE for its request. If you do not comply, you will be instructed how to adapt to what is established. If you meet them, the Volunteer Responsible will follow what is established by each Volunteer Program to continue the selection process until the end and, if applicable, participate in the Program.
The objective of the accompaniment is the consolidation of solid teams, responsible for the work entrusted to them, integrated with the Values of PROYDE and in which they are able to contribute the best of themselves to the common project.
The essential condition of any accompanying action is the closeness and fraternity of the Volunteers with each other and with the people in charge of PROYDE at any of its organizational levels. Work with the certainty that, whatever the responsibility, it is of vital importance for the Organization as a whole.
The Territorial and Local Delegates, the Volunteer Responsible, the Responsible for the Areas, Departments and Working Groups, each in their sphere of action, are the ones in charge of the accompaniment of the / Volunteers.
It is about facilitating and accompanying the formative processes (personal and group) that help the Volunteers to reflect on their voluntary action and to deepen their motivations and solidarity commitments. This will lead them to get involved in the task, gain autonomy and responsibility, in short, to take part, increasingly active, in PROYDE.
PROYDE try to promote the training of the people in charge of the Working Groups. Facilitating knowledge, developing skills and promoting attitudes according to what the Organization understands by Volunteering, Teamwork, Networking and Shared Responsibility.
Some tools, for the accompaniment to be effective, are, among others, personal communication, group meetings; the follow-up and orientation of the tasks carried out or to be carried out; the planned coexistence; etc.
The training aims to: Inform on Mission Vision and Values and the consequent way of acting of PROYDE. To review the attitudes of one / to oneself in front of the reality of a suffering world, to sharpen the critical look and to expose the prejudices with which we analyze and act.
Training is important because it gives the people who participate in PROYDE the tools that allow them to deepen the identity of the Organization and its way of acting and thus give meaning to voluntary action.
The Training enables the Volunteer to carry out his task with increasing levels of responsibility and autonomy.
PROYDE arranges and carries out a Training Plan for Volunteering, structured in levels that include: Initiation to Volunteering in the Lasallian NGDOs (Level 0); Volunteering in Development Cooperation from a Christian - Lasallian perspective (Level 1); 10 key issues of development cooperation (Level 2); Volunteering in International Volunteer Projects (Level 3); Ongoing training (Level 4).
The Local and Territorial Delegations have established their Training Plans for Volunteering based on levels 0, 1 and 2. These plans are specified in a calendar, normally multi-year. In addition, attending the needs of the Volunteers of the Delegation offer the possibility of participating in level 4 either through the resources offered by PROYDE in general or with their own resources.
The Delegations and the Volunteers do not remain, in their training needs, only with the proposals of the PROYDE Training Plan, they actively participate in other training resources offered by other Development NGOs or other entities and development coordinators.

The direct approach of International Volunteering to the Communities of the countries of the South where PROYDE supports Development Projects, requires specific training. This training is designed with different contents and deepening depending on whether it is for the Short-Term International Volunteer Groups and / or for the Long-Term International Volunteers.
For the Groups of International Short-Term Volunteers, the training takes some elements of levels 1 and 2, others are specific to this Volunteer. There are two versions, to some extent parallel, one for the International Youth Volunteers (Small People - International Youth Volunteer) and another for the Adult Summer International Volunteers (Summer Volunteering). The fundamental difference is in the timing and the way of approaching the topics, for the young people two school courses and a more group treatment are foreseen and for the adults the course is open for 5 months and a treatment is foreseen group for some topics of more immediate commitment.
The Standard Program for Short-Term International Volunteering includes the following agenda: 1- Institutional framework. 2- Models of solidarity. 3- Code of Ethics of the Cooperator. 4- Option for the poor. 5- Live in community. 6- Go, be and return. 7- Millennium Development Goals (MDG). 8- Globalization and Development. 9- Education in the Promotion and Development of impoverished countries. 10- Woman and Development.

PROYDE, provides new contents for the Virtual Classroom to make possible the extension of the Volunteer training. They are also invited to participate in seminars or workshops that improve their performance and make their volunteer work more enjoyable.
At this time, in addition to the aforementioned, the Virtual Classroom has opened a course on "Fair Trade - Responsible Consumption" specially designed for the Volunteers that encourage the shops and points of sale of the Fair Trade Network in their Local Delegations. Evaluation is understood with a double meaning. The Evaluation that is established by PROYDE with the Volunteers that are integrated in each of their Volunteer Programs and their active participation in the Organization and the performance of their tasks, and the PROYDE Evaluation of the Volunteer offered as such. , of its reception, support and training structures.
In both cases, the objective of the Evaluation is to examine the reality (personal or institutional) from a realistic perspective so as to allow adequate planning taking into account strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and challenges.
The evaluation will be done informally and implicitly while working, in meetings or in the middle of routine tasks. It is also done on the basis of formal procedures at times institutionally programmed for it.
Evaluation of the integration and performance of tasks of the Volunteer
All the Volunteer Programs have marked the moments of Evaluation. These moments will be respected both by the Volunteers participating in the Program and by the PROYDE Managers in charge of animating them.
In these formal evaluations, as stated in the forms, the task carried out is as important as the attitudes and values put into play to carry it out.
PROYDE encourages the Volunteers to make informal evaluations in the work teams: to inform themselves and inform other groups about the activities carried out and in progress, to update one another about progress in the work, exchange inventories of procedures, propose suggestions for improvement towards the future, etc.
Evaluation of PROYDE structures regarding Volunteering
PROYDE evaluates, at all levels, its Programs regarding Volunteering. The NGO Coordinator Lasalianas, in which PROYDE participates, meets three times a year and has among its functions to analyze and propose coordinated actions for all Organizations, to take agreements on common criteria that all Lasalianas NGOs will then carry out, etc. . From the evaluation processes of each of them and of all of them together, this is where the criteria and programs come from. There are joint documents prepared and that commit all the Organizations.
PROYDE, through the Volunteer Department, which at least meets once a year, analyzes and proposes improvements or complements the Volunteer Programs. When necessary, it proposes to the Management Committee and / or the Board of Directors the analysis and decision-making on matters that affect Volunteering.
The Territorial and Local Delegations establish improvements in the procedures, complement the plans and suggest changes in everything related to the Volunteer Programs. When it comes to elements of their competence they apply them, in addition to sharing them with the rest of Delegations. When necessary, offer their ideas and suggestions to the Volunteer Responsible of the Territorial Delegation that is part of the Department of Volunteering.
